God has guaranteed traits and promises to you by His Word simply because you were born into His holy nation by faith in Christ.
What you receive as a Christian isn’t the point, it’s who you are. It’s not what you do as a Christian that determines who you are; it’s who you are that determines what you do.
Understanding your identity in Christ is absolutely essential to your success at living the Christian life.

“I am chosen of God, holy and dearly loved” (Col. 3:12; 1 Thess 1:4)
“I am a member of a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession” (1 Pet. 2:9,10)
Write these verses where you will see them often. Pray them and speak them over yourself.
