You also need to understand the negative inheritance from the fall of man and its remaining impact on all mankind. Spiritual death, lost knowledge of God, too many choices, and dominant negative emotions still impact mankind today.

Since the fall, you can see that:

• Rejection replaced acceptance
• Guilt and shame replaced innocence
• Weakness replaced authority

Summary

God calls to you when you hide from Him because of sin. He sees you, knows your mistakes, and how you wrestle with your identity when you fail. Yet, in His great love for you, He still longs for you to be reconciled with Him, to teach you His ways, and walk with
Him again!
