Seeing God Ruins Pretending

What happens when seeing God ruins your ability to pretend?

In Isaiah 6, Isaiah stands before the holiness of God and his first response is not comparison, excuses, or self-improvement. His response is confession: “Woe is me, for I am ruined.”

This message from our Holy Revealed series reminds us that the presence of God exposes what we often try to hide. We can pretend in front of people, minimize sin, compare ourselves to others, and act like everything is okay. But before a holy God, pretending ends.

God does not expose us to shame us. He reveals what is true so real freedom, confession, repentance, and transformation can begin.
